What is MA Player?

What is MA Player? MA Player is a Linux based high-resolution audio playback operating system which is exclusively available for Matrix Audio music streamers. It not only focuses on playback quality but also has friendly human-computer interaction. It includes a powerful audio format decoding library to achieve the playback of PCM, DSD, MQA and other format files with various sampling rates, and also indexes audio files from local storage devices and NAS automatically and builds a music library.

What does MA Player do?

Local music playback

MA Player supports audio file playback from USB drives and NAS. It indexes and builds music library from these storage sources automatically. Music will be organized and presented in categories such as albums, tracks, artists, genres, composers, performers, ages, and labels within the "Library" section of the MA Remote App. It supports up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM audio and up to 22.4MHz DSD audio. It also supports the common audio file formats available in the current market, as well as MQA audio.

Local network streaming

MA Player has integrated multiple network streaming protocols. In addition to Roon Ready and AirPlay, it also supports DLNA/UPnP, TIDAL Connect, and Spotify Connect. This means that you can play music from various devices and platforms. Whether you're using Roon or other similar streaming software, you can achieve high-quality audio playback and listening experiences.

High-Res online music

MA Player offers you a diverse selection of streaming music resources. Through the integrated TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, and Sony Select High-Res Music within the MA Remote App, you can effortlessly browse and play an extensive collection of high-definition online music from the Internet, which opens up a gateway to the world of music for you.

The MA Player supports vTuner and Radio Paradise broadcasting services. Simply open the MA Remote App, the energetic pop music, soothing classical tracks, vibrant ambient music, or talkshow programs, it can meet your needs and allow you to fully explore a diverse range of music.

What is MA Remote App?

MA Remote App is a controller app for MA Player, which is available for iOS, iPadOS and Android phones. It's an indispensable part of MA Player. MA Player takes charge of building the music library and playback local music and streaming music, while the users browse the music library and control the playback through MA Remote App.

What does MA Remote App do?

The MA Remote App is a link to the Matrix music streamers, and is the main way of interaction between the users and the device. With this app, you can browse and play music from the library built by MA Player, or from third-party streaming audio platforms. The device status and configurations such as power on, standby, input and output channels, volume control, and playback status can be done through the app at any time.
