Feature request: progressive volume control - Evert - 09-18-2021 Let me start saying I really love my Element X! Since I have it, I have reduced my set to just the X as Streamer-DAC-Pre-amp/headphone-amp plus 2 mono head amps. It really is all I need. Using Roon, this for now is my end-game. BUT…! One thing I really would like to be changed, and that is the volume control. It runs “linearly” from -127.5 (dB) to 0. This means that the first half of the scale, to say -60, is unused as this is basically silence. Could in a future firmware an option be added that makes the scale progressive. With this I mean the first -127 to -60 is just 10% of the scale and then the second part is progressive till 0, so I have a full use of the scale? While at it, setting the output for the headamps to +10, as I do, could that be refelcted, so the scale goes to +10? This would make it even more perfect. THANKS! RE: Feature request: progressive volume control - Wei Cao - 09-22-2021 Hi Evert Got your idea. Thank you very much. I will forward this suggestion to our dev team to evaluate the possibility and necessity. Thank you again, |
