Currently, only the 2nd gen element models can display the album cover images from metadata of the music files (as you mentioned images sewn into the tags).
With the first gen element series products, the app will display the images in music file folders by priority. If there is no images in the folder, the app will require images from the Internet according to the metadata (text tags) of the music file.
