Min-i Pro 3 and Vinyl Turntable
#1
I use my Vinyl Turntable Technics SL-D2 with a Thorens preamp and it has very good sound quality.
I tried to connect to Min-i Pro 3. Very poor pre-amplification and very bad sound quality. No bass and very low pre-amplification level. To hear at a normal sound level, I need to have my amplifier set to 80.

Someone with the same experience?
Is it a problem with my Min-i iPro3?

Hi Pedro,
The mini-i pro 3 cannot replace a phono pre-amp. If the turtable only has a phono output without a lineout, it would not work with mini-i Pro 3 properly. Because the output amplitude is too low.
You can find the option Line-in Gain in settings menu of mini-i Pro 3, the input amplitude should not much lower than 1Vrms. To connecting to the analogue source which outputs amplitude is about 1Vrms, you can set the linein gain to +6dB. If the signal is much lower than 1Vrms, the +6dB would also not enough for you.

Regards.
